Kim - Salon Owner and Senior Beauty and Spa Therapist.
I trained with the Joyce Blok School of Beauty Therapy in Auckland in 1989 qualifying in Beauty, Body Therapies/Massage and Electrolysis.
I continued with post graduate courses for body therapies in Aromatherapy,Sports Massage, Introductory Shiatsu, Cranial therapy, Reiki level 1,lymphatic/slimming massage and Pregnancy Massage. Other post graduate courses have been in Advanced Electrolysis, Intensed Pulse Light therapies and Fine Vein Cauterisation.
Post graduate courses within the cosmoceutical field have been in Advanced Skin Analysis and Cosmetic Chemistry which assist in the better understanding of Skin conditions and how to utilise the new technology within our skin care products and treatments for best effect.
I have worked continually as a Beauty/Spa therapist since graduating and developed Tonic Spa in 2000. My enthusiasm for the Beauty industry is evident, in fact I am continually excited by the new advancements in treatments and technology.
Having developed a large and loyal clientele over the years I now however, no longer take on new clients. Instead I enjoy teaching and encouraging the Therapists who work with me to continue their post graduate learning, to be the best therapists they can be.
I now work full time on managing and growing Tonic Spa into one of Auckland's Premiere Boutique Beauty Spas.
Maree - Senior Beauty & Spa Therapist. Spa operations manager.
I trained at The Beauty Therapy College of NZ in 2006 qualifying in Beauty, Body Therapies/Massage and Electrolysis. I continued with post graduate training in Slimming massage, Hot stone massage and Intensed Pulsed Light Therapies.
Post graduate courses within the cosmeceutical field being Advanced Skin Analysis.
I have worked with our great team here at Tonic for over 10 years and I have a beautiful daughter, and new son.
Rosie- Beauty and Spa Therapist
I trained in Beauty, Body Therapies and Electrolysis at the College of Camille, graduating in 2014, where I was awarded Student of the Year. After graduating I worked as Therapist in an inner city spa, followed by an adventure working internationally on a cruise ship.
I joined the Tonic team in 2016 and am very excited to be home and experiencing a new side to the community in which I’ve spent most of my life. I enjoy all aspects of Beauty Therapy, in particular skincare and nail work.
Christina – Beauty and Body Therapist.
I trained at Elite International School of Beauty & Spa Therapies, qualifying in Beauty, Body Therapies, Massage and Electrolysis
qualifying in 2016.
After working part-time with Tonic during my studies, I now work full time and am excited to learn and grow within the beauty industry. I enjoy eye treatments including brow care and lash lifting and skincare treatments. I look forward to meeting you all.
Sharon - Beauty and Body Therapist
I moved to NZ from Australia at the beginning of 2018 drawn to the greenery, water and with a sense of adventure. I worked at a Spa in the South Island for 4 months as a Massage Therapist before moving to Auckland.
After leaving college I studied at Hyde Park College of International Beauty Therapy in Adelaide. I have always been tactile & loved biology, anatomy and physiology which drew me to Beauty Therapy. Loving Body work I became a massage Therapist studying many different modalities over time.
I have two beautiful daughters and gorgeous grandchildren back in Australia.
I have had my own business’ and worked in many different fields of employment over a number of years including 'up' styling furniture and retailing paint. With an interest in interior design and decorating I renovated and created a beautiful new business ‘Cleve Boutique Accommodation’ in 2010.
Along the way I have always kept my hand in Beauty Therapy & Massage with a love of caring & nurturing people & creating an overall feeling of well being.
How lucky am I to find all of this at 'Tonic Spa'!! I am so excited to be working here with this awesome team.
I am the receptionist here at Tonic and I am also doing an apprenticeship to become a qualified Beauty Therapist. I joined the team in early 2018 after previously working in law enforcement and have really enjoyed the change of environment. I look forward to meeting you all and helping with any enquires regarding our treatments or products.
Kellie – Beauty Therapist- Part time
I trained at Elite International School of Beauty, qualifying in 2017.
I am a long time local of West Auckland and love Titirangi. I worked previously as a Sales manager for a packing company but after many years I decided to follow my dream of becoming a beauty therapist.
I have a keen interest in skincare, facial treatments and enjoy doing pedicures.
